art journal challenge - week 18

it's sunday! i played catch up tonight with my 'bedroom' card challenge from last week (picture has been added to aj week 17 post below) and made my card for the day - yay! feels good to be back in the swing of the card challenge.

ivy is constantly collecting little treasures from outside and bringing them in for her 'nature table' in her bedroom, or gifting me with a lovely rock, flower or leaf. it is a beautiful and almost daily reminder to me of the little blessings we have from the outdoors...even in our crummy apartment complex she can find beauty in a pretty leaf or twig...
so this week i have been soaking up the outdoors, the wonderful bush around my mum's home...taking ivy on some walks and really appreciating it so much more than ever before.

this weeks prompt is: nature.
pretty open - i'll leave it up to you! here is my card for the week -

hand dyed paper towel leftover from my 'shiny happy people' class at kiwiscraps, leaf from outside stitched onto the card, zig pen.

have a great week and dont forget to smell the roses/grass/trees/leaves/flowers/twigs/rocks/dirt!!!

love this...it is so funny...i'm far away from home right now too and I packed some cards for the trip, so I can check and do them on the go. Last weeks bedroom was good, cause I have a lot of fun on trips but I miss my bed - lol. and this is good because right now I'm in nature ...besides it is nature with a computer - bwaahaha!
