honestly, where has this year gone?!!
my baby is turning 5 this week so upon finding this picture i knew i had to create something with it...
therefore (and very appropriate for our art journal journey) this week's prompt is: TIME FLIES!!!
i stuck the photo onto the card and painted around her with gesso. once dry, i coloured a rainbow with my watercolour pencils - licked my finger (nice, i know) and smeared the colours in. frame rubon by basic grey, wing is a die cut from years ago, and my ever-necessary paint dots ;)
happy week!

Gorgeous, give her a squeeze from us :)

Happy Birthday to Ivy this week! My son is turning 4 next weekend and I can't believe it. I also have an almost SIX year old. Time does really fly. But I will always remember their days thanks to this wonderful hobby! Thank you for sharing your art with us.

What a lovely reminder! yes, time does fly: enjoy your little ones while they are small enough to wrap up in your arms.
Babies feature in my card too, but fur babies!

Lovely card Em!
My son celebrated his 18th on Friday so obviously 'time flying' is very much on my mind. I took the opportunity to use him as inspiration for this card.

And I have to say I have added them all to flickr and they look terrific altogether. I am so pleased I stuck with this. Thanks Em :)

Happy Birthday Ivy!
My older baby turns eight (EIGHT!!) tomorrow. She is so excited. I'm excited for her too - plus I am a little weepy. Thankfully my younger baby doesn't turn four (FOUR!!!) until Feb.
Wow, seeing those ages in print makes it so much more real.
