my day at CHA was a good one. driving there, i wondered what on earth i was thinking, but once inside...perhaps the smell of freshly made papers and the excitement of that red carpet really is a cure for morning sickness? whatever it was, i was glad i went - i found some cool stuff for my upcoming workshops, and met up with darling friends = happy! halfway through the day i realised nay-a-photo had been taken, so even though i forgot to change the light settings, i took some pics to show you some faves...
my first fave being this woman! my unlikely soul sister who i love to little bits and pieces! making memories always have a classy-as booth (thanks to margie) complete with colour coordinated m&m's. works for me! i loved all their new funky colour lines, and they have the best ribbons and trims!
i'm most excited about these 'invisibles' by heidi - remember those magic painting books when you were a kid? its them! on a scrapbook page. you know the paint makes me happy! you slop on paint/ink/any kind of colour-y thing and get a magic little resist from the design underneath - yee!
these bling rubons by basic grey are COOL. they remind me of henna tattoos and have bonus little sparkly bits - nice!
i thought these little felt embellies from sasafrass were so sweet and fun for kid stuff. ivy would go nuts for these!
i was very excited to meet my first aussie of the day, devorah from melbourne! she has a cool company buzz and bloom (they will be at CHA chicago later this year)...they have awesome stuff, really cool acrylics and chipboards (yay lus!), i'm excited to get my hands on some!
then it was time for some spending! i ordered a stack of handmade nepalese paper and felt goodies from this nepali company, oh! it all smelt so good! this stuff is my candy!
and by the end of the day...just when i thought i could walk no further, i decided to stroll down one more aisle...and right at the end i see the aussie flags!! i was so happy i think i might have cried...yes, i'm an emotional one thats for sure! i was surrounded at once by at least 5 beautiful aussies, oh it was nice! they had minties, and bestowed upon me the greatest gift one can give - a pack of tim tams! i love you guys, you made my day!
ok and blue eye dezines - HELLO! i was dying over the yummy yummy felt lotus and mandala shaped flowers! DYING! i need, i want! (ngai, you were so there in spirit!) cool, cool stuff.
yes, that is an australian flag tat on my cheek. it was australia day, what else can i say?
so that is my report people! sorry i didn't take more pictures. there was a lot of yummo stuff. makes me want to whip into my studio, clean it all up, re-organise everything and make some pages! but just thinking about actually doing that makes me tired. i'll stay on the couch looking through my new CK and all the catalogues i collected at the show instead!
