i've been feeling not-so-inclined to blog this week, so i'm sorry that things are a bit quiet. i've been using that burst of mid-pregnancy energy to stay up way too late being seamstress-y and and sorely paying for it the next day. you'd think i'd learn my lesson but the lure of an evening all to myself is too precious to pass up these days.
i'm feeling very large.
strangers are starting to give that sympathetic look and ask 'not long now?'. ahem, yes - at least 3 months and an international move thanks for asking!
have been reading birthing from within (love it)
and watching the business of being born (very interesting!) and org*smic birth - i recommend all if you are pregnant for some inspiration!
i hope to be feeling more interesting soon, or at least take some pretty pictures to share. i'm sewing up a storm ready for a big etsy update next week (probably monday) so i will love you and leave you with this one pic of my pretty little girl in her (one of many!) mumma-made skirt...

Yindi is just way too cute Em and I love the skirt you made.

I just love apron skirts, and they are so fun and easy to make :) Yindi is a fantastic model!.. If you are enjoying Birthing from Withing, you might also want to look into HypnoBirthing, I can't tell you how much it changed my perception of birth after having two HBing babies (first one wasn't).
And I hear you on the mistake of staying up at night... It sounds like such a great idea at the time, doing some projects and having quiet time for yourself... Wish I could function normally on 5 hours of sleep :)

Had three babies, each one larger than the next, and I'm especially short with a very tall husband. My babies had no where to go but out. I'm surprised I didn't tip over. The only nice thing to say to a pregnant woman at the point of popping is "You look ______ (beautiful, radiant, efflorescent."

Cant wait to get some of the art a happenin' ... soon I hope LOL!

So funny- I just watched The Business of Being Born last week! Little Yindi is as cute as ever!

Em I watched that preview of Orgasmic Birth. Looks amazing. I could almost go another one myself.........but at almost 56 I don't think Graham would want me to be a new Mum or worse still him a new Dad. I think we'll just settle for GPIW (grand parents in waiting) lol Bobbie B.

Hang in there, girl - I remember when I was pg and told everyone at work...and when I was about 5 or 6 months some inconsiderate (okay, dumb) guy found it amusing to say to me almost daily, "seems like you've been pregnant for a year, when you gonna have that kid?" And I'm sure you hear this daily, but gosh, she looks so much like your husband. Wow. And. I love that baby tummy. Miss that.

I adore birthing from within! it was how I prepared for the birth of my little boy. thanks for posting a little something. i must say, your blog and Anahata Katkin's are the only ones I keep up with!

oooh i hope your etsy update will include some mama sized skirts like that. it is sooo cute! and i second the hypnobirthing. i had my daughter 9 years ago, and my doctor still tells his patients that it was the easiest natural birth that he has ever attended.

Adorable! I agree..mama sized skirts!
I'm vowing to catch up on my 52's this long weekend!
