today i have a lovely sponsor giveaway for you! rebecca from simplyrebecca has created this beautiful "encapsulate: time capsule e-course!"...here's what its all about...
Encapsulate is an e-course I’ve put together based on my love of photography and the nostalgia I feel for my own childhood years. I’m one of the lucky ones because my mom kept tons of stuff from when I was a kid, so there is plenty to look back on! In this course I will guide you step by step through the process of creating a time capsule for your family, so someday your kids can feel the same way!
Creating a family time capsule can seem like an overwhelming task, it’s hard to even know where to start! I’ve been training my eye for years to notice the tiniest aspects that are a part of every family, every home, and I know just what to focus on and how to capture it. By using simple photography techniques and paying close attention to the details that often get missed in our day to day lives, you can pull together a collection of images that will sum up your baby in this moment, capturing this chapter in their life’s story.
sound delish? simply leave a comment below with one of your favourite childhood memories, and you will be in the draw to win a spot in rebecca's e-course. winner will be announced here in this post, so check back at the end of the week!
for more details on the course visit rebecca's blog here :)
winner is lisa! (lisa, rebecca will be in touch to set you up for the course, congrats!)

Camping!!! I remember my Dad (who is an art professor) teaching us to collect the natural clay in the earth, pull out all the debris and form it into small bowls. He then fired them in the camp fire for us. Something I will never forget!

its so hard to pick ONE favorite childhood memory... we went to door county in wisconsin a few summers in a row with my grandparents- walking around those little towns, hiking, and beaches- the best memories.

Visiting with my grandparents (my dad's parents). We didn't get to see them very often since we lived 4.5-5 hrs away. One summer we had a family gathering while visiting them and everyone was just chatting and eating. All of a sudden there was watermelon seeds flying and who was the ones that started it? The Grandparents..totally expected of the grandfather but surprised of the grandma doing this, she was usually the serious one :) A memory that i will never forget!!

A favourite childhood memory, let's see... whenever my brother had to babysit me he would drag the tv into the dining room so we could watch Power Rangers while eating copious amounts of chicken nuggets for supper! <3

One of my favorite memories is when we could go to my grandmothers house several states away each summer for two weeks. We would get to be with my aunts and uncles and cousins. We had so much fun.

Having a sleep over at my Granny's house and Grandad would make me toast for breakfast (cut into little soldiers) and orange juice and Granny and I would eat it in bed. Since my grandparents died when I was only 5 it is really my only memory of them so I cherish it.

I have an early memory (50+ years ago! )of my grandfather taking me and my brothers to the woods at this time of the year to collect leaf mould for his garden. I was reminded of this today as I stopped the car to check where I was supposed to be going. There was a break in a wall with a huge pile of gorgeous copper coloured leaves spilling onto the road. I knew that right at the bottom of that pile there would be a beautiful pile of leaf mould! thanks for this lovely giveaway Emily x

My older sister used to hide 'treasures' in these rock caverns by the beach and i would go searching for them...thinking back it might have been a little dangerous, but it was so fun!

funfairs...whizzing down a helter skelter on a little mat, thinking it was very daring...swinging in a "swing boat" til my brother was sick...fairy floss, coconut shies..they all seemed so magical to a little person.

A favorite memory of mine was playing school with my younger brother. Of course, I always wanted to be the teacher and give him "homework" to do, so I bribed him with candy from my stash.
