my lil brother sam races a bike for a living. and sometimes, we get lucky over here in the ol us of a and he has a race or two in our neck of the woods. we get very excited when this happens!! so after racing in quebec, unky sam came to stay at our house for a few days and then took off to NY for his next race. we hopped in the car a few days later and spent the weekend on a hot, dusty downhill track to see him in action!
banjo, is o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d with bikes, and "umpy sam"...he's been riding his pedal-less bike since he could walk, and multiple times a day he come to me and says "i sam. you bridget" - and from that moment i have to play along in his little game. sam is his hero. so imagine a little boy + hundreds of bikes + his beloved uncle all weekend. bingo!

its always fun (and really really nervewracking) to watch him race. i also have a giggle to myself seeing all his fans line up for photos + autographs...people c'mon! thats my little brother!
he's so awesome.
sam became a dad a couple of months ago, he is totally adorable and a proud papa bear in this (weird) interview. we are dying to meet little bam - hooray a cousin! (and hooray i am passing the childbearing torch to my brothers + their partners!)
another bonus to the weekend was hanging with my sista sabrina, my girls were representing in pink! we love us some bina!

it was a happy weekend.
and now i'm off to bed...to dream about my magical land where all the people i love so dearly live in the exact same place as me. in my treehouse full of magic carpets and timtams!
