that's right folks, my dear friend nicole
and i are running our fun felting online workshop again, a 10 day fun
and user-friendly introduction to wet felting - just in time to learn
some skills and make some awesome gifts this holiday season!
so, do you want to felt?!!
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
This is a fantastical, fun introduction to felting! During the course you will be shown the nitty-gritty of what turns fluffy piles of wool into magical felted goods.
With that knowledge you will be guided to make several variations of felt for our projects: round felt beads, a layered felt flower, a flat felt scarfette and a dimensional felt mobile-phone pouch, as well as a couple of fun bonus projects.
Armed with your new skills you will be ready to felt your little hearts out (warning: felting is higly addictive!) and fall in love with this delicious artform. Even if you have felted before, this workshop is definitley going to have you saying "AH-HA!"
nicole lawrence is an artist of life and a long time felting goddess. her felt creations can be found in fancy galleries all over - with 13 years of wool behind her, she kinda knows what she's doing!
nicole will be pouring inspiration at you live from her straw-bale studio in western australia.
emily (you know me, right?) = OBSESSED WITH FELT. enough said!
i'll be felting away with you at my kitchen table here in new england, most likely with food and kids and crazy all over the place (not really. but maybe.)
THE WORKSHOP WILL BEGIN NOV 2nd, on a private section of this blog. After registration, participants will be emailed log-in access to the classroom. There will be four core 'lessons' during the course (video and photo format), tips and tricks from the guru, a gallery to share your creations, and two live chats with Nicole and Emily.
You will be able to work at your own pace, downloading the project information at your leisure. The classroom will remain 'open' until the end of 2012.
WOOL KITS are available in nicole's etsy shop with the perfect amount of wool needed for all 4 projects (and yummy colour choices!), or you are free to source your own wool. Other supplies needed for the workshop can be found at home (ie old towel, bubblewrap etc) - a full list will be emailed upon registration.
COST OF CLASS IS $25

I am so very excited about this! I missed it last time, but thought it would a fabulous intro project - I keep oohing and aahing over felting! So I will definitely be signing up and getting stuck in :) Hope all is well in your world, with your wee ones, your bloke and your dogger (sending aussie wildflowers your way, they're out in abundance here in the south of WA)

How do I know which wool kit to purchase and how much I need? What I am making might decide on the wool colors, etc? Thanks for your help! Excited about learning! Something I have wanted to dip my toes into!!
