all pictures taken in the past few weeks...isn't it amazing? while my family back in western australia are in the midst of a giant heat wave, we are bundling ourselves up to make the most of the beautiful scenes right outside our back door.
this is our third winter here (and our 'winters' prior included being able to wear shorts and a hoodie!), and we are really enjoying the beauty and magic of fresh snow, learning how to dress warmly and appreciating with awe how each season transforms our surroundings.

Gorgeous photos Em, the kids look so cute all bundled up to keep warm - you are a good mumma to get out and about in it all - i think i'd be shivering under a pile of doonas ! And look at Banjo shovelling snow, what a guy !!!

love all those pointy-hatted-fluffily-clad little munchkins of yours! yindi is getting sooooo big! reminds me to get out there more and enjoy the snow, even when i'd so rather stay inside, close to the fire.

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I remember your first winter here in New England and how long and hard it was for you all. I've lived in New England my whole life and as an adult, I had to re-embrace the winter like I did when I was a child to truly love it again.
I do have to say, though, that you'll never find me out on a frozen lake, pond, or stream. They scare the crap out of me!
