my darling friend sabrina arrived monday for a short stay after racing her bike in canberra last weekend, we were SO hoping baby would arrive while she was here but alas - she had to fly back to france last night and here i am still pregnant (and missing her). i have officially never been this pregnant before as both girls came a week early and i am due today!
we watched movies, knitted, talked and talked, and ate many cheesymite scrolls in front of the fire. and when we had one day left and it had finally stopped raining, we went for a big steep bushwalk in the hopes of bringing on labour!
as you can see i am gigantic and frightened a small dog that came past us on the trail by my sheer size. despite this i am keeping my spirits high by looking at tiny knitted booties from a friend, enjoying lots of snuggles and belly rubs from two excited little girls...waiting while living in the moment :) it was such a treat to have my french soul-sis with me all week.
i hope my next post will be with baby pictures - have a beautiful weekend!
(i'm also crossing my fingers to win these fabulous cloth nappies/diapers by FUZZIBUNZ - you should enter too if you have a wee one!)

oh! and the goddess e-course winner is:
I so need this class! I look around my home sweet home and it is more home mess home! Thanks for the chance!
Oh, you poor thing:( I've been that big before with my first pregnancy. People always commented on how my stomach entered the room before I did. I think your little guy is just too cozy in there. Miss you lots here in California.

What a shame your friend missed out on the arrival of your baby. One thing we can't really do is make it happen before they are ready.
Fingers crossed that your little one arrives soon.
Good luck and take care

Man. You have made me SO homesick. I miss the wattle, banksias and that spiky native grass.
Enjoy the birthing process. There is nothing quite as wonderous.

Oh I am SO glad those little booties are pulling you through...I hope they fit! All 3 of my boys were bang on time (one a day early), and then with my little Ella baby she was 3 days late. I was beside myself (we were also packing to move OS) until I had a wonderful fill in Indian doctor who said to me "your baby loves you so much she wants to have you to herself for as long as she can; she knows once she is born she will have to share you with others, but for now you are all hers". It really helped to look it that way and treasure those last few days of us being us.
Hope this time goes smoothly for you. Can't wait to see pics.

Those last few days are the worst. I never went early and I think I always gained another 10lbs during the last week.
Keep your spirits up. The big day will be here before you know it :)

em, you've made it! celebrate this time you've had with your newest little one, he (or she?) will come soon enough. and then you can smother him with all the kisses and cuddles in the world. I'm so excited for you and your small but growing family. you look great, btw. absolutely the cutest pregnant lady I've ever seen.
I have two more weeks until my first could (or could not) make his arrival into the world and am still relishing every moment of it! well, mostly. ;)

you look absolutely great! just your baby belly is big as it's supposed to be at 9 mos. -- your face, arms, everything else looks non-prego. wishing you a quick & easy birth.
