and so here we are...52 weeks later! a lot can happen in 52 weeks hey? i've loved doing this alongside you all...and am grateful for the quick moments of creativity and thought that i was able to snatch for myself each week in doing my tags.

two weeks to go and we have done 52Q!

finishing things has never been my strong point (i know you've noticed!)...mick gets annoyed at me for never finishing the last inch of water in my glass...but i'm doing my best! this time of year is always so speedy and busy - we had our anniversary and ivy's birthday (+ party) last week so i hope you can forgive me for the double-up on this week and last.

Q - what have you done over and over this week?

i have been LATE! late for school every day (25 mins one day when i put sleeping banjo and sleeping yindi into the car then could not find the keys anywhere - stress!) - poor ivy! late for bed (yawn!), late for everything...including posting this weeks 52Q! i'm sorry - it's a disease that appears to be getting worse and worse!

is there something you have found yourself repeating all week?

Q - when you think back to your childhood, what moment first comes to mind?

chels and i were in my 'studio' (ie bomb room) last week while i whipped her up one of my teeskirts. she started rummaging through my piles (of which there are many!) and next thing i know had made us this weeks challenge! one of the many reasons i love her. she sees a need and dives right in. she is also extremely artistic!

Q - what makes you glow?

my answer is seeing those chubby baby cheeks puff out in a big old smile (he is smiling a LOT and it is so very beautiful when that happens isn't it?), and watching two little girls hold hands and play together. nothing makes me happier or glow-ier than that.

Q - how do you make decisions?

 

i am a horrible decision maker and we have some big decisions to figure out right now so my mind is flustered and foggy.

how about you - are you quick to know your answers or do you agnoise over every detail? do you pray/meditate/ask for advice/pick randomly?

sorry i haven't done as fabulous a job as i'd like with keeping up this year long challenge. if i'd known at the start of it that a new baby and an overseas move would be part of my year i may have done things differently! i'm not able to create or be online as much these days, but i think of all you 52Qers with fondness and love the moments i do get to myself to ask a question and make a little fun tag. balance, balance - it's a lifelong art to master. anyway what i'm trying to say is thanks for being patient with me and joining this journey of ours. can't believe it will be finished soon!

Q - what were you doing this time last year?

its wild how much can change in one year hey? this week i've been pining for my girls and our trip to thailand that happened a year ago...oh mango smoothies, massages and full nights sleep - where art thou now?!

i know i said i'd be back this week but a few days ago my inbox got some happy mail - one last guest 52Qer! my friend karalenn who i met back when we lived in LA - we loved doing stuff with their creative and quirky little family! she is an amazing sewer (check out her halloween costumes from '07), she cleans her house with a tiara on and she hand drew/painted every weeks' card for deck of me and the 52Q - her cards are on her blog, you should definitely check them out! her daughters have also been doing the challenges which is awesome and makes me feel lame for not doing this with ivy!

so being the biggest halloween lover i have ever met, i laughed when she sent me this weeks challenge...

Q - what's your favourite holiday?

(i'm sure this is how ivy saw me this afternoon as i nagged her to do her chores!)

i must say halloween was a fun one - we loved going for walks and seeing spooky decorated houses and gardens, loved carving pumpkins and planning costumes. i must think of something to do with the girls this year (not sure of trick or treating would go down well in our street...does anyone do it here?), something spooky and fun...ideas, ideas?

oh, and...my favourite holiday is a beach in thailand ;)
